Pressure Washer Safety
Just like any other piece of equipment, there are safety precautions you need to take when operating a pressure washer. In the video, we share important safety tips with operating your pressure washer.
Safety Tips:
1Please follow all safety instructions and caution stickers on the washer. A pressure washer is a great cleaning tool if used properly and safely.
2Always wear safety goggles and closed toe shoes, and protect yourself from the possibility of direct spray.
3Always select a flat area for the pressure washer to be placed before starting your project.
4When using your pressure washer, never point the gun at any person or pet.
5When cleaning a wood surface with a pressure washer, make sure you use the proper high-pressure nozzle or you could damage the wood. It is always a good idea to test wash a small hidden area first.
6When using an electric pressure washer, always plug it into a properly grounded GFCI outlet.
7Firmly hold the gun assembly properly, engaging the safety latches when not spraying.
8The safety latches prevent water from spraying accidentally.
9After turning off the pressure washer, always release any pressure by squeezing the trigger, before you disconnect the hoses and nozzles.
10The engine and motor of a pressure washer can get very hot after extended use, so use caution when moving the washer.
11Never allow children to play around a pressure washer when it is in use.
