Cleaning Siding With A Pressure Washer
A Mi-T-M pressure washer is the perfect tool for cleaning the outside of your home, using almost 80% less water than a garden hose, with far more power. This video shows you step-by-step how to do it.
Instructions
- 1It's very important that you use the correct nozzle to clean house siding, or you can quickly damage it. The yellow 15-degree nozzle is the best choice for this task.
- 2When cleaning siding, you need to start at the top, and work your way down.
- 3Stand a consistent distance of 3 to 4 feet from the surface you are cleaning and keep the nozzle moving, to avoid damaging the surface.
- 4Depending on the job you are doing, all-purpose detergent is very effective in removing hard to clean mildew and grime.
- 5First, attach the black colored low-pressure detergent nozzle.
- 6Apply the detergent, starting at the bottom and working your way up.
- 7Before rinsing, remove the injector from the detergent.
- 8Replace the black detergent nozzle with a high-pressure nozzle.
- 9Rinse in the opposite direction, from top to bottom, to avoid streaking.
- 10Do not allow the detergent to dry on the surface you are cleaning, and be sure to thoroughly rinse the entire area.
