Cleaning Siding With A Pressure Washer
A Mi-T-M pressure washer is the perfect tool for cleaning the outside of your home, using almost 80% less water than a garden hose, with far more power. This video shows you step-by-step how to do it.
Instructions
1It's very important that you use the correct nozzle to clean house siding, or you can quickly damage it. The yellow 15-degree nozzle is the best choice for this task.
2When cleaning siding, you need to start at the top, and work your way down.
3Stand a consistent distance of 3 to 4 feet from the surface you are cleaning and keep the nozzle moving, to avoid damaging the surface.
4Depending on the job you are doing, all-purpose detergent is very effective in removing hard to clean mildew and grime.
5First, attach the black colored low-pressure detergent nozzle.
6Apply the detergent, starting at the bottom and working your way up.
7Before rinsing, remove the injector from the detergent.
8Replace the black detergent nozzle with a high-pressure nozzle.
9Rinse in the opposite direction, from top to bottom, to avoid streaking.
10Do not allow the detergent to dry on the surface you are cleaning, and be sure to thoroughly rinse the entire area.
